Shared web hosting is the most fitting way to host for 99% of web sites. It means that a web hosting company will have one or more servers (computers constantly connected to the Internet that run a web server software such as Apache or IIS) that will be providing disk space to multiple web sites (shared space = shared web hosting). This is the least expensive way to get web hosting. Our shared hosting even carries your domain name as its nameserver. This gives off the apperance that you are running your own server.
Yes. You can register your domain name with a separate registrar before getting a hosting package. Then, when you purchase a web hosting package from us, you just need to point your domain's name servers to our server. We will provide you with all that information.
You can also choose to register a domain name with us. We will then take care of setting up everything for you. It is highly recommended that you choose this method as it saves you both time and money.

Fully managed web hosting refers to a variety of services offered in addition to providing web space for a web site. Bangkok Hosting offers only fully managed web hosting. We set everything up for you. All you need to do is upload a website. It is that easy! But we also then turn it all over to you. You have full control of your web hosting package through a web interface control panel (cPanel). There you can control all aspects of your website. If you know nothing about control panels, no worries, just leave everything as is and your website will still function perfectly. But if you need more power and control you have it at your finger tips.
Space is the amount of "stuff" you can put on your web site, consider it your "hard disk". Available space is usually listed in megabytes (MB, millions of bytes). A Single letter takes up one byte. HTML files are usually rather small (this file is about 25,000 bytes) but pictures and programs can get quite big. Your scripts and stats will also take up space on your disk.
Transfer is the amount of "stuff" that visitors to your site can download. You should be aware that everytime someone visits your websites they download your webpages to their device. Transfer refers to your monthly limit. Transfer is usually listed in gigabytes (billions of bytes). For example, if an average visitor to your site views 3 HTML pages of 20 KB (thousands of bytes) each and 8 small embedded pictures of 10 KB each, and you get 500 visitors per day, you will require at least (3 * 20 + 8 * 10) * 500 * 30 = 2,100,000 KB = 2.1 GB of transfer per month.
So what happens when you reach your transfer limit? Nothing, but if it continues to happen Bangkok Hosting will suggest that you move to a Virtual Private Server. Agai don't worry we can set that up as well.
Paying for any of Bangkok Hosting's products is very simple indeed. We accept only Bank Transfers. More information is available on our payment details page.
The main method of uploading files to your site's hosting package is by using an FTP client. You can also use your control panel. When you sign up for web hosting with us, you will receive all the information you need to access your web hosting package by ftp as well as web access to your control panel.
Uptime is the percentage of time that a website is working. For example, if some host has an uptime average of 99.86%, this means that your site will be down for a total of about 1 hour each month. We monitor the uptime of our servers and we are proud to report an uptime average of 99.98%
Yes. Those are client-side technologies, so the host doesn't have to do anything to support or enable them. Any browser (such as Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, or Chrome) that supports them is enough, so any host will do. It doesn't matter whether Java or Flash are listed among the plan's features, they are supported by default.
